Jessica Simpson is a famous singer/songwriter from Texas. She got her first break into the music industry when music mogul Mottola heard her recordings in 1999. Jessica then signed with Columbia Records and released her label debut, Sweet Kisses. This album catapulted Jessica's career as it rose to the top of the pop charts. Her next two albums were equally successful and in 2003 her stardom was amplified with the reality TV show which documented her new marriage. The marriage ended with a devastatingly public collapse, and two months later her fourth pop album was released. She then left the pop scene to return to her country music roots and released her fifth studio album, Do You Know.
